This idea all began in 1997 with the purchase of a young Red Dun Tovero colt,
Kingofhearts McCue, and his mother,
Dusty Mount McCue,
a Red Dun Splashed White Overo. Through these 2 horses, I met a wonderful breeder of American Paint Horses, Trudy Langford and
her husband, Bill. At the time they were living in Lebanon, Oregon and we were living in Langley, British Columbia.
Trudy and Bill owned a son of Yellow Mount, C B, to which I bred Dusty three times to produce two fillies (C Brandys Dust, CB Mizzy
McCue) and one colt (CBS Legacy). Through Trudy and Bill, we have built our herd of Yellow Mount bred horses.
We now have 9 Yellow Mount bred mares and 5 Yellow Mount bred stallions. There are 2 yearling Yellow Mount bred colts for sale.
In 2007, we moved to Lethbridge, Alberta. Since then we have become known as Yellow Mount Ranch in honor of the Legendary
Stallion that we have based our breeding program on. Our herd has grown from that very modest beginning of a young stallion
and his mother to thirty plus horses and it continues to grow. Some of the horses from our breeding program have moved on into
the US, throughout BC and into Alberta.
Thank you to Trudy and Bill Langford of Terrebonne, Oregon for allowing us to own some awesome
mares - Cageys Tippy Toe (AQHA - sold), Ballys Shortstop (AQHA - deceased), Seducktion (AQHA - deceased), Farmerette (APHA - retired),
Sheza Grand Dream (AQHA), CBS Little Liza (APHA), CB Sheza Dream (APHA), Tuesdays Gracie (APHA). Thank Trudy and Bill for all
your guidance and help over the years.
And now, we continue to search for more Yellow Mounts to add to our herd.
I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to
your name, O Most High.
